Our New Place
Charlie and I decided that we needed a new daunting challenge in our lives since law school, the bar exam, and job hunting is over! The next obvious step was buying a house. We couldn't settle for just any house, we wanted the perfect one. One without a kitchen or even working plumbing, but with lots of potential!! Some days I wonder what I've gotten myself into, but then I just think about all the things we want to do and what this place could look like! The house is in a nice neighborhood and near a beautiful river area. The old saying goes, you should buy the worst house on the block, not the best. We definitely did that. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great project for you (and the whole family). You will have a great sense of accomplishment when you are finished. Here's a hint for the times that this project causes stress between you two....remind each other that you are on the same team. This helped Uncle Steve and I from committing homicide when we were building the house :)
