Over the last couple weeks we've had a couple retaining walls built in our driveway. The driveway always had retaining walls but they were falling over and needed to be replaced. We also changed the slope of the front yard. Originally the retaining wall ran all the way along the driveway, but we changed that so the yard is just sloped.
We've also had a couple electricians at the house working on the wiring. They installed recessed lighting in the living room. In the picture you can see the cans . . . I'm not really sure how that works. They also put in a new electrical panel and they have wired the kitchen (or the space where that will eventually be).
Hopefully, within the next week or so, we will get drywall put up in the kitchen and bathrooms. . . . And then shortly thereafter maybe I will get a kitchen. It feels like a pipedream right now. :-)
Charlie is going to finish the trim in our bedrooms (when the windows were installed all the casing was ripped off). I was hoping to salvage some of the old window trim but Charlie bought some thicker trim and stained it to match the old stuff. With thicker trim we have less repair work around the windows - which is a good thing.
